You could give hints that you like her by talking to her more and asking her stuff you already know like homework stuff and daft polls. Or you could ask a mate to ask her would she rather date some one else or you and see what she chooses, or you could just go and tell her straight.
To get her number you could ask for hers and other peoples so it's not obvious that you want just her's.

just tell her straight out seriously and if she knocks u back then thats it and u cn move on

best thing to do at 14 is just tell her straight and see what happens.
i am pretty much the same age, and i have found that although this way doesn't usually bring about any girlfriends, it always lets you move on quickly.
if you don't feel up to just telling her straight though, you could add her on something like facebook or msn, and get talking to her on that, and then see if it's worth even telling her that you like her, because she might like someone else, or currently have a boyfriend or something.
well the best thing you can do is jst sit nxt to her in class and talk to her and while ur talkin to her dont take your eyes off hers and smile, and give her like a compliment as well. can flirt by play footiesy were rub ur leg on hers. or jst ask her out. tell her you realy lik her and you want to go out with her. at the end of the day she jst a girl and she human lik u 2
