ok, meeting a girl for the first time just in a normal social situation (at a party, introduced by a friend, etc) what do i say. how can i start a conversation and then maintain it. im not shy, but when im around a girl i just met, i cant think of anything to say and kinda freeze awkwardly. also, how can i attract the girl. engage her in a conversation and make her think more ';hey i really like this guy, i should give him my #'; and less, ';yea hes nice (as a friend)'; conversation and flirting tips would really help. thanks.How to flirt with girls. help me out here?
i'm not sure of your age but if you're around my age (14) then these methods should work.

1. look nice (just look clean and smart (not having your pants down to your ankles) and not nerdy (not wearing your pants hiked up to your solar plexus)

2. greet her with a smile and look her in the eyes (eyes and smile are usually the top on the list of things girls notice first in a guy, so make sure she doesn't have to search too much)

3. pay attention to her, and only her

4. start with a compliment (please make it sincere, see # 5)

5. be honest and open

6. have an open mind. you might only get ';not-as-cool'; girls to respond to your flirting (at least at first) but with an open mind, that might not be too bad

7. use some humor (make her laugh)

8. ask her about herself. even if she does all the talking, it will make her think of you as a great conversationalist





i hope these help. also, a girl (my age) isn't too likely to just give you her number. she would prefer that you make the first move and ask her for hers, or give you yours, or just ask her out
